McCartney’s estimated £495 million fortune puts him at fourth on the list of UK music millionaires, behind musical theatre impresarios Lord Lloyd Webber (£680 million) and Sir Cameron Mackintosh (£675 million), and Zomba Records co-founder Clive Alder (£1.3 billion). |

McCartney’s soundtrack to “The Family Way” gets CD reissue
Written by admin on May 3, 2011 – 6:07 pm -Paul McCartney’s first non-Beatles music project, the soundtrack to the film “The Family Way,” will be reissued on CD in July. This is the first time the album has been issued on CD in its original form. The 1996 release didn’t observe the original running order and featured additional tracks from Canadian guitarist Carl Aubut.

Rolling Stones to appear at London Olympics?
Written by admin on May 3, 2011 – 6:01 pm -The Rolling Stones and Coldplay are among a number of top acts rumoured to be performing at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Oscar-winning, “Slumdog Millionaire” film director, Danny Boyle, is directing the opening ceremony, which seems to be shaping up to be a showcase for rock royalty. The Stones’ frontman, Sir Mick Jagger, has already been linked to the event with the rumour that he will perform as part of a British supergroup with Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and John Lydon.

Deluxe editions of “McCartney” and “McCartney II” in June
Written by admin on April 27, 2011 – 6:35 pm -Paul McCartney’s classic albums “McCartney” and “McCartney II” will be the latest to receive the deluxe treatment as part of the Paul McCartney Archive Collection.
The remastered albums will be available in multiple formats, as was the case with last year’s “Band on the Run” reissue.
