Springsteen rocks the Isle of Wight Festival

Written by admin on June 25, 2012 – 5:43 pm -

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band closed the Isle of Wight Fashion in memorable fashion last night with an energetic three-hour set.

The band played a fine balance of new and old material, with classic hits such as “Born To Run” and “The River,” and material from his new album “Wrecking Ball,” including the title track, “Death To My Hometown” and “Shackled And Drawn”.

Springsteen was in high spirits, mocking the adverse weather and travel conditions, and engaging with the crowd in his usual charismatic fashion. He closed out the show with a lengthy, crowd pleasing rendition of “Twist and Shout,” as a fireworks display signalled the end of a great weekend of music.
