Springsteen and Lady Gaga share the stage
Written by admin on May 14, 2010 – 8:16 pm -Bruce Springsteen and Dame Shirley Bassey shared a microphone, while singing along with Lady Gaga, Elton John, Debbie Harry and Sting to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.” Doesn’t that sound like an unlikely scenario? Well that’s just what happened at Carnegie Hall last night for the finale of Sting and Trudie Styler’s annual Rainforest Foundation benefit.
“Don’t Stop Believing” – Rainforest Foundation benefit finale
This year’s theme for the Rainforest Foundation benefit was the 1980s and the audience were treated to some unusual and unexpected performances, including Elton John with a Madonna “Material Girl”/”Like a Virgin” medley, and Sting with an energetic cover of The Fine Young Cannibal’s “She Drives Me Crazy.”
There were also some more conventional offerings throughout the evening, including Debbie Harry with “Call Me” and Springsteen with “Dancing in the Dark.”
