Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice wrote the stage play and will be on board to write the screenplay. The movie will be produced by Graham King and Tim Headington. Frankie Valli will executive produce, along with the Four Seasons’ keyboardist Bob Gaudio. Gaudio wrote or co-wrote many of the group’s most popular songs, including “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Rag Doll” and “Walk Like a Man.”

“Jersey Boys” will celebrate its fifth year on Broadway in November. In 2006 the show won four Tony Awards, including Best Musical. There has also been a successful North American National Tour, and productions in London’s West End, Las Vegas, Chicago, Toronto, Melbourne and Sydney. “Jersey Boys” won London’s 2009 Olivier Award for Best Musical.
