Freddie Mercury to receive Asian Founder Award
Written by admin on September 30, 2011 – 7:22 pm -The Asian Awards will pay tribute to Freddie Mercury next month with a Founders Award that recognises his outstanding contribution to music and global impact.
The Awards honour “the very highest levels of achievement from within the Worldwide Asian community” in the fields of business, sport, entertainment, philanthropy and popular arts and culture. Freddie Mercury was born in Zanzibar and educated in Bombay.
Fellow Queen legend, Brian May, will be among the stars in attendance at the awards ceremony which will be hosted by Lord Sebastian Coe.
The Asian Awards take place on October 18 at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
