Elton John and Robert Plant to headline Electric Proms
Written by admin on September 14, 2010 – 7:19 pm -| Elton John is set to headline the opening night of the BBC Radio 2 Electric Proms on October 28. Elton will be joined on stage by Leon Russell, Rumer and Plan B. Elton has recently recorded an album with Russell titled “The Union” which is due out in October.
The concert will be broadcast live on Radio 2 from The Roundhouse in London and will also be televised on BBC Two. |

The Elton John concert will form part of a special evening of entertainment on BBC Two called “A Night in With Sir Elton John”, which will also include a documentary about his life.

Elton John is not the only British music legend to appear on this year’s Electric Proms. Robert Plant will appear on the second night with Band of Joy and the London Oriana Choir.
Plant will be performing songs from his excellent new album “Band of Joy.” A night of programmes dedicated to the former Led Zeppelin frontman will accompany the broadcast of the concert on BBC Two. |
Tickets for the Electric Proms will go on sale later this month.
