Christine McVie reunited with Fleetwood Mac at London’s O2 on Wednesday night for the first of two appearances with her former bandmates. She left the band in 1998 and has largely kept out of the limelight since.

McVie took to the stage to perform the classic hit “Don’t Stop” from the band’s 1977 album “Rumours”. The performance was captured by a fan and uploaded to YouTube.

Original member of Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green, was in the crowd for the show and Stevie Nicks dedicated the song “Landslide” to him.

Fleetwood Mac’s European tour kicked off on 20 September in Dublin, Ireland. The following dates remain:

  • 27 September – O2 Arena, London
  • 29 September – LG Arena, Birmingham
  • 1 October – Manchester Arena, Manchester
  • 3 October – The Hydro, Glasgow
  • 6 October – Lanxess Arena, Cologne, Germany
  • 7 October – Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam, Netherlands
  • 9 October – Sport Palais, Antwerp, Belgium
  • 11 October – Bercy, Paris, France
  • 13 October – Hallenstadion, Zurich
  • 14 October – Schleyerhalle, Stuttgart, Germany
  • 16 October – O2 World, Berlin, Germany
  • 18 October – Jyske Bank, Boxen, Herning, Denmark
  • 20 October – Oslo Spektrum, Oslo, Norway
  • 23 October – Globen, Stockholm, Sweden
  • 26 October – Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

McVie will be back on stage with the band for the final O2 Arena gig in London.

The 35th anniversary of the band’s classic album “Rumours” was celebrated earlier this year with the release of expanded and super deluxe editions. The expanded edition includes the original album, the B-side of “Silver Springs,” a dozen unreleased live recordings from the group’s 1977 world tour, and a CD of unreleased takes from the “Rumours” sessions. The super deluxe edition includes all of the music on the expanded edition, a vinyl edition of the album, and a DVD of outtakes that also features “The Rosebud Film,” a 1977 documentary about the album.

Fleetwood Mac also recently released a four track EP titled “Extended Play,” feauturing their first new material since 2003.
