This is Carlos Santana’s first album of new material since “All That I Am” in 2005, which hit number two on the US album charts and also consisted mainly of collaborations with guest singers.

The album was co-produced by Carlos Santana and Clive Davis, with tracks produced by Matt Serletic and Howard Benson.
Commenting on the album, Carlos Santana said:
| “To create these songs, it took an incredible amount of trust – from Matt Serletic, and from Howard Benson, and all these incredible singers, all these incredible musicians, they had to trust me, and I trusted Clive, so it’s a chain reaction of love, because that’s the highest form of love that there is on this planet: Trust.” |
Santana is currently on a US tour, with Steve Winwood opening for him. The tour closes on August 1 in West Palm Beach, FL. He will then perform eight Vegas dates at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in late August/early September, before touring Europe in October.
