Brian Wilson to tour the UK in 2011

Brian Wilson will perform his critically-acclaimed album “Brian Wilson Re-imagines Gershwin” in its entirety at a series of concerts in the UK next September. The shows will also feature classics from the Beach Boys’ back catalogue.
The tour will include a return to London’s Royal Festival Hall where Wilson gave the first ever live performances of Pet Sounds in its entirety in 2002, and performed the live premiere of “Brian Wilson Presents Smile” in 2004. |

“Brian Wilson Re-imagines Gershwin” features Wilson’s imaginative arrangements of George and Ira Gershwin classics, including an a capella arrangement of “Rhapsody in Blue”, songs from Porgy and Bess such as “Summertime” and “It Ain’t Necessarily So” and two new songs crafted from previously unpublished Gershwin music.
