Unreleased Beatles footage due in September
Written by admin on June 24, 2010 – 8:22 pm -| Unreleased footage of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show will feature on a comprehensive DVD set of the band’s four appearances on the show. The “4 Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Starring The Beatles” is due for release on DVD on September 7 and will include 13 minutes of unreleased footage of the Beatles, including Sullivan interviewing the band. The set will even include the commercials that aired during the original shows. |

The Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964 and this appearance attracted a record 73 million viewers. There were two more appearances in 1964 and one in 1965.

A similar set was released several years ago, but the footage has apparently been remastered on the new set and there is the additional 13 minutes. There will also be the option to play a mono audio track or a 5.1 remix.
This looks to be a fantastic set, especially for those who didn’t pick up the earlier release.
