For this week’s Song of the Week we go back to 1965 and Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone.”

“Like a Rolling Stone” is widely regarded as a musical milestone and one of Dylan’s finest achievements. Rolling Stone magazine rates it as the number one song of all time in its list of 500 great songs.

Mick Hucknall to team up with The Faces

The Faces will reunite for the music and design festival, Vintage, on August 13, but minus Rod Stewart. Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall will take on lead vocal duties instead.

Guitarist Ronnie Wood, drummer Kenney Jones and keyboardist Ian McLagan will also be joined by former Sex Pistol, Glen Matlock, who will play bass in place of Ronnie Lane who died in 1997.

Shake, Rattle and Roll – Rock ‘n’ Roll Exhibition

Iconic photographs of some of rock ‘n’ roll’s biggest stars will be available to view and buy this week at the “Shake, Rattle and Roll – Rock ‘n’ Roll Exhibition” in Knightsbridge, London.

The exhibition features photographs by three celebrated and award-winning photographers – David Montgomery, Terry O’Neill and Baron Wolman. Among the stars featured are The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse.

“Exile on Main Street” hits number one

The Rolling Stones have achieved their first number one album in the UK since 1994 with the reissue of “Exile on Main Street.” The band’s last number one album was Voodoo Lounge, but they did hit number two with “A Bigger Bang” in 2005 and “Shine a Light” in 2008.
