The Rolling Stones have announced the release on November 21, 2011 of re-mastered, expanded, Super-Deluxe, Deluxe and Digital editions of their 1978 album “Some Girls.”

Rolling Stones Some Girls Deluxe

“Some Girls” hit number one in the US when first released and remains the band’s best selling album. Details about the new release are scarce, but it has been confirmed that unreleased tracks recently unearthed by producer Don Was will be featured. It’s also confirmed that the Super-Deluxe edition will include a previously unseen Helmut Newton photo session from 1978, an essay by Anthony DeCurtis, and a 7” single of “Beast Of Burden”/”When The Whip Comes Down” in its banned sleeve.

Fans were left intrigued by an earlier message on the band’s Facebook account, which said “stand by for news at 5pm GMT…” and speculation was rife that news of the often rumoured 50th anniversary tour was on the way.
