|The Faces have kicked off their reunion tour with an intimate gig in front of 400 people at the British Music Experience at London’s O2 Arena. Original frontman Rod Stewart chose not to rejoin the band, but Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall proved to be a popular replacement with the crowd.|

The Faces will reunite for the music and design festival, Vintage, on August 13, but minus Rod Stewart. Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall will take on lead vocal duties instead.
Guitarist Ronnie Wood, drummer Kenney Jones and keyboardist Ian McLagan will also be joined by former Sex Pistol, Glen Matlock, who will play bass in place of Ronnie Lane who died in 1997.
