Fred Milano of the Belmonts dies aged 72
Written by admin on January 3, 2012 – 8:21 am -Founding member of the Belmonts, Fred Milano, passed away on Sunday from lung cancer. He was 72.
Milano was born in New York on August 26, 1939 and formed the Belmonts as a teenager in the mid-1950s, along with Angelo D’Aleo and Carlo Mastrangelo. After joining forces with Dion DiMucci, the group entered their most successful period, with classic singles including “I Wonder Why” and “Teenager In Love.”

Dion DiMucci on Huckabee

Songwriter Hall of Fame nominees announced
Written by admin on October 15, 2011 – 7:41 pm -Pete Townshend, Elvis Costello, Lou Reed and Dion DiMucci are among the artists who have been nominated for induction into the 2012 Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Members will have until December 12 to vote for which of the nominees are inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Dion DiMucci stage play on the way
Written by admin on October 13, 2011 – 6:10 am -American playwright and director Chris Messina is writing a stage play about the life of Dion DiMucci.
The play will be titled “The Wanderer” in homage to Dion’s classic 1961 hit.
Dion has posted the following quote from Messina on his Facebook page:
