Roy Orbison: The Last Concert – 25th Anniversary Edition (CD/DVD)
Written by admin on November 22, 2013 – 7:14 am -Legacy Recordings is releasing a 2-disc (CD/DVD) set next month to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Roy Orbison’s final concert.
“Roy Orbison: The Last Concert – 25th Anniversary Edition” includes a CD of the last show, which took place on December 4, 1988. The tracklist is as follows:
- Only the Lonely
- Leah
- Dream Baby
- In Dreams
- Mean Woman Blues
- Blue Bayou
- Candyman
- Crying
- Ooby Dooby
- Go! Go! Go!
- It’s Over
- Working for the Man
- Lana
- Oh, Pretty Woman.
Roy Orbison sadly died from a heart attack just two days after the show, aged 52.
The DVD features a photo gallery from the last show, an 11-minute interview given after the show, and clips from gigs at the Reseda Country Club, California, in 1981 and Rockefeller Hall in Texas, 1986.

Other songs on the DVD are “Leah”, “Blue Angel”, “Working For The Man”, “Go! Go! Go! (Down The Line)”, “Dream Baby”, and “Ooby Dooby”.
“Roy Orbison: The Last Concert – 25th Anniversary Edition” debuts on December 3 in North America, and the day before in the UK. Out the same day in the UK is the 4-LP “Roy Orbison – Monument Vinyl Box Set” which includes Orbison’s first three albums (“Lonely and Blue”, “Crying”, and “In Dreams”), as well as a newly curated album, “Pretty Woman”, which features tracks from 1964.
