Ronnie Wood was a double winner at last night’s annual Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, which took place at London’s Westminster Bridge Park Plaza Hotel.

The Ronnie Wood show, which airs on Absolute Radio, picked up awards for the feature of the year and, for the second year in a row, the specialist programme of the year.

Absolute Radio also won in the station of the year category.

The presenter of the year award went to XFM’s Danny Wallace, and Classic FM picked up the Gold award.

Not surprisingly, Adele won the PPL (Phonographic Performance Limited ) award for most played UK artist.

The newcomer of the year award went to LBC’s Emma Barnett.

The Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards recognise excellence and achievement across the whole spectrum of commercial radio output, from presenters and programming to advertising and marketing. The awards are organised by RadioCentre, the industry body for commercial radio in the UK.
