“So Beautiful or So What” was released on April 8 in many countries, including the US where it debuted at number four on Billboard’s album chart. A deluxe CD/DVD edition was also released. |

Paul Simon – “So Beautiful or So What”
This month also sees the worldwide release of remastered versions of four essential Paul Simon solo albums, complete with bonus tracks. The titles are:
- “Paul Simon” (1972) -Simon’s first studio solo album contains the classic hits “Mother and Child Reunion” and “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard.” Bonus tracks on this reissue include demos of “Duncan” and “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” and an unreleased “Paranoia Blues”
- “There Goes Rhymin’ Simon” (1973) – this number two hit on the Billboard album chart included the hit singles “Kodachrome,” “Loves Me Like a Rock” and “American Tune.” Bonus tracks on this reissue include work-in-progress “Let Me Live in Your City,” acoustic demos of “Take Me to the Mardi Gras” and “Loves Me Like a Rock” and an unfinished demo of “American Tune”
- “Paul Simon In Concert: Live Rhymin’” (1974) – this live album was recorded during Simon’s 1973/74 tours with Urubamba and the Jessy Dixon Singers. Bonus tracks on this reissue include two previously unavailable live versions of “Kodachrome” and “Something So Right”
- “Still Crazy After All These Years” (1975) – this was Simon’s biggest album to date, hitting number one on the Billboard album chart and winning the Grammy for Album of the Year. Among the tracks featured are the number one hit “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover.” Bonus tracks on this reissue include demos of “Slip Slidin’ Away” and “Gone At Last.”
