Johnny Cash: The Complete Columbia Collection – 63 CD box set
Written by admin on August 5, 2012 – 9:52 pm -Sony Legacy will release “Johnny Cash – Complete Columbia Albums Collection” in October, which will feature an incredible 63 discs, comprising 59 Columbia albums (on 60 CDs) and three bonus discs that will include Sun Records material, singles and B-sides.
The first 19 Columbia albums will be available in mono on CD for the first time.
No details have yet been released of the full contents of the set, but it sounds like an amazing release for the Johnny Cash collectors.
Johnny Cash – The Greatest Albums
This week sees the release of a series of Johnny Cash genre-based titles, all using “The Greatest” tag. These are:
- Johnny Cash – The Greatest: Number Ones
- Johnny Cash – The Greatest: Number Ones Deluxe Edition
- Johnny Cash – The Greatest: Gospel Classics
- Johnny Cash – The Greatest: Country Songs
- Johnny Cash – The Greatest: Duets.
Of most interest is the Number Ones Deluxe Edition, as this features a bonus DVD that has the following 10 previously unreleased performances from The Johnny Cash Show:
- Ballad Of A Teenage Queen
- There You Go
- Daddy Sang Bass
- The One On The Right Is On The Left
- A Boy Named Sue
- Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down
- Folsom Prison Blues
- Guess Things Happen That Way
- Flesh And Blood
- Ring Of Fire.
“Johnny Cash- The Complete Columbia Collection” is released on October 30. The “Greatest” album series is released this week. All titles can be purchased from:
