500 item Elvis auction features classic suit and grand piano!

Written by admin on March 16, 2009 – 7:47 pm -

Over 500 items of Elvis Presley memorabilia are for up for sale at online auction house Gotta Have It! The auction concludes on March 25.
Highlights include:

A blue jumpsuit and cape with gold lining that Elvis wore at a Madison Square Garden performance in 1972. This is the suit worn on the cover of the album ‘An Afternoon in the Garden. It is expected to fetch $150.000
Elvis’ famous white Wm. Knabe & Co. Grand Piano that he personally used at Graceland from 1957 to 1969. This is expected to fetch at least $750,000

Another very cool item is the navy pleated cuffed pants worn by Elvis in several scenes in his 1957 film ‘Jailhouse Rock’.

Also included in the auction are Elvis’ signed and fingerprinted Seventh Degree Black Belt Karate Card, personally worn clothing, prescription sunglasses, jewelry, film-worn costumes (including pants from Jailhouse Rock), and a handwritten poem.
