The live album “Wings over America” will be the latest title to get the deluxe treatment as part of the Paul McCartney reissue programme.

The album, which documents the band’s 1976 tour across North America, will be reissued in several formats on May 27.

This will be followed on June 10 by the release on DVD and Blu-ray of the live concert movie “Rockshow,” which was shot during the band’s “Wings over the World” tour.

The “Wings Over America” release will be available as a 2-CD standard edition, featuring the original album remastered, and a 3 CD/1 DVD box set. The latter includes the remastered album, a bonus audio disc recorded live at San Francisco’s Cow Palace, a bonus DVD containing the rarely seen 75-minute television special “Wings over the World,” and a photo gallery montage entitled “Photographer’s Pass”. The impressive looking set will also include four art books featuring exclusive memorabilia, souvenirs, mementos, keepsakes and never-before-seen photos and art work from the tour.

“Rockshow” DVD/Blu-ray

The “Rockshow” live concert movie was filmed at the Kingdome in Seattle and is now being made available for the first time in complete form, fully restored from the original 35mm film, and including a 5.1 mix. The movie features many Wings hits, plus some of The Beatles’ and Paul’s solo classics.

Ahead of its DVD/Blu-ray release, “Rockshow” will receive a one night only theatrical release on May 15, with 500 cinemas participating worldwide. The theatrical release will feature an exclusive introduction by Paul McCartney, who will attend a VIP premiere screening at BAFTA.

All editions of “Wings Over America” are available for pre-order now. “Rockshow” is currently available for pre-order in the UK, but not yet listed for the US/Canada.
