Tom Petty tops US album chart with “Hypnotic Eye”

Tom Petty announces new album and tour
Written by admin on May 21, 2014 – 7:37 pm -Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers have announced that their new album “Hypnotic Eye” will be released on July 29. The band’s first album for four years makes its debut ahead of their North American tour, which begins on August 3. Steve Winwood will be on the tour as a special guest.

Paul McCartney to headline Bonnaroo festival
Written by admin on February 19, 2013 – 8:18 pm -Paul McCartney and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are among the acts that will play this year’s Bonnaroo festival.
The line-up was revealed during a Bonnaroo Line-up Announcement Megathon (BLAM!) streamed live on YouTube this afternoon.
Other artists scheduled to appear at Bonnaroo include Mumford & Sons, ZZ Top, Billy Idol, Bjork, Vampire Weekend, Gaslight Anthem, Grizzly Bear, Cat Power, Wu- Tang Clan, Nas, Divine Fits, Kendrick Lamar, Animal Collective, JD McPherson, and many more.

Steve Winwood duets with Tom Petty
Written by admin on June 23, 2012 – 8:28 am -Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers welcomed Steve Winwood on stage during a hit-packed set at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday night.
Petty is in the middle of a European tour, which sees him playing his first UK shows for 13 years. The UK stop also included a well-received headline performance at the Isle of Wight Festival last night.

The frontman for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers was born in Gainesville, Florida on October 20 1950. He formed the Heartbreakers in 1976 and has since released 10 studio albums with the band, as well as three solo albums and two with the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys. |
