Singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend, accompanied by their backing band, played solid versions of “Pinball Wizard,” “Baba O’Riley,” “Who Are You?,” “See Me, Feel Me” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” Zak Starkey, son of Beatle Ringo Starr, was on drums.

The concert itself has received mixed reviews. Clearly, Roger Daltrey has lost some notes off the top of his register and Pete Townshend isn’t quite as dynamic as he used to be, but this was a solid set delivered under unusual circumstances. Enjoy The Who at the Super Bowl below

Townshend told Billboard magazine that the band will play a “compact medley” of classic hits, including “Baba O’Riley,” “Pinball Wizard,” the close of “Tommy,” “Who Are You,” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”

Super Bowl XLIV, between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints, will be played Sunday, Feburary 7 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.

Townshend and Daltrey are currently working on new material for the follow-up to the band’s 2006 album, Endless Wire.
