Stevie Wonder to enter Apollo Legends Hall of Fame

Stevie Wonder will be inducted into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame at the Apollo Theater’s Annual Spring Gala on June 13. This is a poignant tribute for the Motown Legend as he sang at the Apollo at the very start of his career, earning the nickname the “Wonder Child.”

Song of the Week #28 – “Superstition”

Stevie Wonder’s funk rock signature tune “Superstition” is Song of the Week.

“Superstition” opened side two of Stevie Wonder’s album “Talking Book“, which was released in October 1972. It was also released on single the following month, backed with “You’ve Got It Bad Girl”.

Song of the Week #13: “Hallelujah, I Love Her So”

Ray Charles’ rhythm and blues standard “Hallelujah, I Love Her So” is this week’s Song of the Week.

“Hallelujah, I Love Her So” was released in 1956 on Atlantic Records, backed with “What Would I Do Without You,” and was one of a string of R&B hits for Charles before his crossover success at the end of the decade.

Stevie Wonder closes Glastonbury 2010

Stevie Wonder closed the 40th anniversary Glastonbury Festival with a memorable set on the Pyramid Stage tonight.

Wonder delighted the crowd with some of his biggest hits, including “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours,” “Superstition” and “Uptight.” He closed the show by paying homage to the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury with a rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
