Freddie Mercury to appear in “We Will Rock You” musical
Written by admin on May 10, 2012 – 6:50 pm -Freddie Mercury will feature in a 10th anniversary performance of the West End musical “We Will Rock You” on May 14.
Freddie’s former bandmate, Brian May, told the BBC that the production team had been working on ways to include the late singer in the production, but that they will not be using a hologram effect. May describes the approach as “an optical illusion of sorts” and claims that “People will come out saying, ‘did we actually see Freddie?’”.

“Music is GREAT” charity DVD celebrates British music

Queen announce Orb USB gift box & Wembley box set
Written by admin on November 18, 2011 – 1:01 pm -Queen are continuing their 40th anniversary celebrations with the release of the Queen Orb USB Gift Box, and the Queen Live At Wembley Super Deluxe Gift Box Set. Both are limited to 5,000 units worldwide and are available from November 21.

The Queen Orb USB Gift Box is a luxurious black velvet lined gift box which includes a USB drive containing all of Queen’s 15 remastered studio albums, as well as a gold-plated Queen crest pendant necklace in a red velvet collector’s bag. The albums are presented in 48kHz 24bit WAV (better than CD quality!) and MP3 (320kbps) formats, and can be played on both PC and Mac. |

Classic Rock Roll of Honour 2011
Written by admin on November 10, 2011 – 7:35 pm -Jeff Beck, Queen and Roger Waters were among the veteran artists honoured at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour awards last night. The event took place at the Roundhouse in Camden, London, and was hosted by KISS bassist, Gene Simmons.
Queen received the “Best Reissue” award for the remastered reissues of their final five albums: “The Works,” “A Kind of Magic,” “The Miracle,” “Innuendo” and “Made in Heaven.”

MTV Global Icon Award for Queen

The band will accept the award in person and also take to the stage for a special performance. |
