Led Zeppelin’s “Physical Graffiti” reissue to include previously unreleased recordings

Led Zeppelin’s “Physical Graffiti” will receive the deluxe treatment in February to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the album.

The album was originally released in February 1975 and would become one of the band’s most highly rated albums, thanks to memorable songs such as “Kashmir” and “Trampled Under Foot”. It was also a huge commerical success and has been certified 16x platinum in the US.

Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” voted Greatest Guitar Riff

Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” has topped BBC Radio 2’s list of the Top 100 Greatest Guitar Riffs.

Votes were cast by Radio 2 listeners from 14 July to 4 August, and the results were revealed throughout today’s programming on the station.

Led Zeppelin to reissue albums with unreleased material

Led Zeppelin will release dozens of unreleased live and studio recordings, including a previously unheard song, as part of their upcoming reissue programme.

The song “La La”, recorded during the sessions for “Led Zeppelin II,” will be heard for the first time on the bonus disc accompanying the reissue of that classic album in June.

56th Annual Grammy Awards – Round-up

The annual awards show was broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Staples Center and hosted by LL Cool J.

Led Zeppelin and Buddy Guy receive Kennedy Center Honors

Led Zeppelin, Buddy Guy, ballerina Natalia Makarova, David Letterman, and Dustin Hoffman were this year’s recipients of Kennedy Center Honors in Washington D.C. on Sunday.

President Obama led tributes to the recipients at a special afternoon reception at the East Room of the White House, referring to Buddy Guy as one of the “last guardians of the great American blues” and joking that “a generation of young people survived teenage angst with a pair of headphones and a Zeppelin album, and a generation of parents wondered what all that noise was about.”
