Paul Simon closed another highly successful Hard Rock Calling festival in London’s Hyde Park yesterday (July 15).

Simon entertained the crowd with nearly three hours of classic songs spanning his Simon and Garfunkel and solo careers. The 70-year-old’s set included a complete run through of his 1986 album “Graceland,” with trumpet player Hugh Masekela and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the South African male choir who appeared on the original album.

Hard Rock Calling kicks off

Hard Rock Calling 2011 Glastonbury might get the bulk of the media attention, but this weekend’s Hard Rock Calling in London’s Hyde Park is also set to be an impressive event. The main stage headliners this year are The Killers (tonight), Bon Jovi (Saturday) and Rod Stewart (Sunday).

Stevie Wonder to play Manchester’s M.E.N.

Stevie Wonder has announced that he will play Manchester’s M.E.N. Arena on June 29.

The show will follow headline performances at London’s Hard Rock Calling festival on Saturday, June 26 and on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage the following night.
