Rolling Stones – Hampton Coliseum 1981 videos

Written by admin on February 14, 2012 – 9:47 pm -

The Rolling Stones have added four videos from their December 18, 1981 show at the Hampton Coliseum to their Youtube channel. This is the first official release of these videos online.

The Hampton Coliseum show on December 18 was the penultimate gig of the Rolling Stones’ 1981 American tour, which promoted the band’s album “Tattoo You”. The show has become infamous for the moment in “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” where Keith Richards hits a fan with his Telecaster to prevent him getting to Mick Jagger. The incident takes place 1 min 14 secs into the “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” video.

The Rolling Stones have released the Hampton show on audio CD as their second “official bootleg,” following the success of last November’s “The Brussels Affair.” “Hampton Coliseum (Live 1981)” is available for fans worldwide (excluding the US) at StonesArchive.com, and for fans in the US at Google Music.
