Paul Simon - So Beautiful or So What Paul Simon’s next studio album, “So Beautiful or So What”, will be released on April 12, 2011.

“So Beautiful or So What” will be available as a single CD, a deluxe CD/DVD edition and on vinyl. Simon has described the album as “the best work I’ve done in 20 years.” It is his first studio album since “Surprise“, which was released in May 2006.

This excellent promo for “So Beautiful or So What” gives an idea of what to expect from the new album:

Next year will also see a major re-release campaign of Paul Simon albums, following the move of his solo catalogue to Sony Music. This will include the classic albums “There Goes Rhymin’ Simon” (1973), “Still Crazy After All These Years” (1975) and “Graceland” (1986), as well as two live albums, and DVD and Blu-ray releases of both solo performances and Simon and Garfunkel reunions. The solo albums are expected to receive the deluxe treatment, including unreleased material.

Paul Simon’s latest single, “Getting Ready For Christmas Day”, was released on November 22. You can download it from Amazon or iTunes. The single CD and deluxe CD/DVD editions of “So Beautiful or So What” are also available for pre-order from Amazon:
