“MY MUSIC: Rock, Pop & Doo Wop” TV special

Written by admin on February 26, 2011 – 8:03 pm -

Ronnie Spector (of The Ronettes) and Jon “Bowzer” Bauman (of Sha Na Na) host a celebration of classic hits of the 1950s and 1960s on PBS next month.

Other highlights include the Marcels on the classic “Blue Moon” and La La Brooks singing the leads on “Da Doo Ron Ron (When He Walked Me Home)” and “Then He Kissed Me,” just as she had on the original Crystals’ hits.

I’LL BET THIS IS A GREAT SHOW, HOWEVER SINCE I AM FORCED TO WATCH WABW, GEORGIA PUBLIC TV, IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO ENJOY.
THIS STATION HAS CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH PICTURE BREAKUP AND THE MOST ALFUL AUDIO DELIVERY IN THE WORLD. POP POP POP SOUND LIKE A BASBALL CARD IN THE SPOKES OF A BICYLE. YES I’M OLD. I HAVE LISTENED TO SHORTWAVE TRANSMISSIONS OF BETTER QUALITY. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN WFSU, FLORIDA PUBLIC TV IS AIRING THIS SHOW. I’LL TRY WATCHING IT AGAIN.
    THANK YOU.
