Happy Birthday Bruce Springsteen – 60 today!
Written by admin on September 23, 2009 – 12:02 am -| Today is the 60th birthday of the legendary Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on September 23rd 1949 and spent his childhood and high school years in Freehold Boro.
Watching recent live shows, it’s hard to believe that The Boss is turning 60 as his incredible energy and passion are undiminished. Unlike many artists, Bruce remained vibrant and relevant in his 50s, with several first class albums, a hugely successful reunion with The E Street Band and some impressive side projects, including The Seeger Sessions. Anyone who has seen Bruce live can vouch for the fact that he can still cut it! UK music fans were left in no doubt of that when he recently took Glastonbury by storm with a set that lasted close to three hours and was widely regarded as the best performance of the festival. |
