This September will see the release of a 60 disc set featuring all of the 22 shows on the Grateful Dead’s Europe ’72 tour. “Europe ’72: The Complete Recordings” will be be a limited edition set, with a maximum of 7,200 boxes produced, the first 3,000 of which will be personalized editions.

Each concert will be presented as a multi-track recording, mixed by Jeffrey Norman and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer David Glasser. Liner notes will be included for each show from Dead scholars and the set will also include memorabilia and a book with never before seen photos and an essay by Blair Jackson.

• May 13 – Lille Fairgrounds, Lille
• May 16 – Theatre Hall, Luxembourg

Recordings from that tour were released in November 1972 on a three LP set called “Europe ’72“, but with extensive overdubs. The undubbed versions will be included on the new set.
