A two-CD Art Garfunkel collection titled “The Singer” will be released by Sony Legacy in April. “The Singer” contains 15 Simon and Garfunkel classics, plus an extensive gathering of solo Garfunkel material, taken from 1973′s “Angel Clare” through to 2007′s album of standards, “Some Enchanted Evening.”

Art Garfunkel chose the tracklist for “The Singer” and also provided track-by-track annotations, which appear in handwritten form in the booklet. For “Cecilia,” Garfunkel offered the following quirky observation:
